Default Dezod Base Map idleing problems

Hey guys i just installed a Dezod Turbo Kit on my 2006 tC. I know it is an older system of thiers, but i picked it up second (or third) hand for a really good price, but anyways I bought the Dezod Base map and the car will not idle properly. The other two tunes i have are drivable but very rich and i am running 22psi of vacuum. Paul said there was a chance i did not seat the injectors properly or blames it on the mechanics of my turbo. According to the AEM FIC on my other tunes all my injectors share the same duty cycle I also calibrated the tps but i cant cal the rpms because it wont idle.....I also have a CEL that reads Bank 1 Heater Circuit Low...I did replace the 02 with a bosch universal that i soldered the plug onto....My wiring is correct but i will solder it again to make sure that it is good......Any help would be much appreciated!

Which O2 sensor did you put a universal sensor in? If it was the primary one in the header then you need to replace it with an OEM sensor. A tune on one car still will require adjustment on another, no two cars will run identical even if they have the same modifications done. Get a tuner to re-tune your car.

You easily could have left a vacuum line off, have the wrong spring in the bov, Charge pipe or coupler loose, or forgot to wire something up.

Also Vacuum is measured in inHg on most gauges.

Open your FIC and highlight the cells your rich in and right click and press the "-" option.

This is after any mechanical issues have been resolved.

^^its not quit as simple as that unless your speaking of tuneing for open loop (wot/full boost).

first before you start fooling around with the tune you either need to hand it over to a pro or you need to know what your fuel trims are. they will help to guide you when, how much, and where to take/add fuel in closed loop operation. you also need to check to see if your idling in open or closed loop. When you first start the car you will be in open loop for a few seconds then it should switch to closed loop. Also you need to know how to datalog and view the log (not to mention understanding it). Thats if your going to take matters into your own hands. Either way I feel that its best to know a little about tuneing even if your not going to do it yourself. Im not going to go further into it unless you would like to know more.

as far as the mechanical aspect you should check for leaks even if the other tunes idle fine...reason is sometimes you can accidentally mask a leak or other mech problem with a tune. It happens because you are able to skew a sensors output voltage.

in anycase a base map is nothing more than a starting point and something that will get your car running so you can make it to your local tuner. Its not something that should be relied on to take the place of a pro tune.

I wish you the best of luck and happy boosting!

(ps what others have said above is good advice from good peeps...listen to them)

The map I sent to you ran a custom kit on 550cc injectors 2 weeks ago for a local customer with some ATP goods. It had idle trims of -4 to -10. Worked fine. A tune can not solve mechanical problems if you have some.

If the circuit is registering low, chance are the sensor is not getting up to full operating temp as easily or at all. Do you have a scan tool that has full access to live data via OBD2?

if thats the case then no wonder your having issues...output voltage is most likely different between the sensors, id have to double check though to confirm. Iv never sat there and compaired the two...never really had a reason to...lol

in anycase I wish you the best of luck!

Downstream reads a lot less voltage than upstream.

Put the right o2 in last night leaned the af out to 14.5 at idle and took it to hybrid dynamics today dezod basemap still wouldnt bring the car to an idle but my other map by elevation was a good base just gets real rich at about 4 to 5000 rpms.....thanks for all the help ill start a new thread with some pics and synonymous numbers when I get it back!

I really can't see why not. Unless the voltage clamp is off for your setup or the cal was fubared in emailing it over. Either way, glad you have it done.
