well i just finally installed the black box and i must say, it drives like a completely different vehicle, everything just feels a bit smoother and more refined. its nice. super easy install, clear instructions... 10/10 in my book.. so far. :p

just one thing i want to check on, i just reset the ecu (obviously) and everythings gone back to 10.0.. like idle, part throttle no boost... all 10.0 afr. im assuming these should all go back to 14.7 when the ecu re-learns everything after the reset, correct?

Well, to see if the Black Box is working. Why shouldn't I be? That's what the black box was designed to do. It allows a piggy-backed (Emanage Blue, Unichip) Turbo tC to safely boost at partial throttle.

I AutoX and like Satoman44 said, sometimes you don't want to just floor it.

This is a very good product from the ppl that have installed it. Name is Alberto and I got contacted by a potential customer that purchased a black box and emanage for us to install and dyno tune. Along with some upgraded injectors (550) on a 06 tC.
You guys have a nice forum here with some very helpful ppl.

Yeah this customer has already the emanage blue system and needs to buy the other harness for it. If he had not gotten the blue box already I would have persuaded him to get the AEM F/IC box just to try to tune it. Say how different is this over a full AEM ems box? We have tuned many of those in the past.

it allows for air/fuel tuning by tricking the stock ecu into thinking it is too lean so it gives the engine more fuel. it gives you a map from -20 vacuum to +16 psi and from 0 rpm to ~8000 rpm. But it is just air/fuel, no timing.

Correct it is an add on. As previously mentioned, we no longer carry this item. You can probably find one new or used from another member here. We sold a TON when it was released.

We no longer produce this because of the AEM FIC. We felt it was a smarter alternative overall, and offers everything you need in one unit.

basemap can be downloaded at dezod.com at their technotes.. it should be good enough or you can fine tune it if you want

i dont know much about the aem unit - i used to have the eman ult before i sold it ... now your saying you can partial tune w/ the aem? im sure there is some logical reason why you are pushing it over the eman blue. I guess the aem fic wasnt around when you were pushing the black boxes right?
