Dezod here with progress and new updates!!! 1-26-05
Well... just when you thought we were sitting back, think again!
We at Dezod have been designing, testing, and trying new parts, new designs, and new ideas.
UPDATE 1: INTERCOOLER
The first upgrade/update is the new Dezod high performance intercooler. Custom built for the tC. This unique bar and plate intercooler supports 550hp and still retains your factory bumper! It also supports our current IC pipe layout so you do not need to completely re-do your pipes if you decide to use this IC. It's compact, polished, and VERY efficient. It's a bar and plate intercooler that can accomodate almost any goal you have set for your tC, without compromise.
Here's how it compares to our current IC:

UPDATE 2: Internals
We talked about this before, and we're still doing it. The head upgrades will most likely be re-grinds but we're still working on that situation. We do have an account now from a very reputable company that will be making custom pistions built to our specs exactly. You as the consumer have some options. Would you like stock bore or .5mm over bore? Would you like them left alone or have heat coating (costs an additional $12
. We would like the heat coating because most people that go for pistons are doing it for ultimate reliability with the added performance benefits, what do you think?
UPDATE 3: ENGINE MANAGEMENT
We'll just never leave this part alone. In the quest to get the most out of our platform, we sought new engine management that isn't being run on any other Scion to date. We're working closely with the company and will be receiving our complete plug and play engine management system next week. This will be the closest thing to a stand-alone ecu, and allow you to work off of your base ecu maps, making tuning easier. The system we're using does pretty extreme datalogging, is easy to program, and has more features than some stand alone units. It's a proven system that's worked with other HIGH hp cars alread (over 500hp on this piggy back system on multiple occasions). We're keeping the brand name and parts anonymous until the complete testing makes us comfortable enough to openly advertise everything it can do, and how much power we're safely making. Expect this upgrade to come with Stage 2 Dezod turbo kits.
UPDATE 4: TURBO
Small update, but here goes... We spec'd out the Stage 1 turbo for the psi, redline, and displacement our stock motors use. We couldn't be more happy with the results. We're now making new calculations and are in progress of the development of the stage 2 turbo. It will be geared for higher boost levels with similar efficiency to the stage 1. Best of all, keep your S1 manifold, because it bolts right up!

Well, the in-dash lcd screens are there to display the data, are there not any monitoring programs out there to display all that info which is processed by the car's computers anyway?
There are multiple units on the market that do such a thing. We just use a laptop.
Apexi, Greddy, Blitz, and HKS all have something that acts as a monitor. Other companies do as well.

by the way i ment to say SUKI not SUMI, and yeah thats what i want in the future. Have it all displayed on a screen either mounted on the dash or as the navi unit. I have a laptop, but it would be nice to have a moniter right there at all times so you could moniter everything as the car is runing without haulin the lapper everywere.
I just dont know how to do that

Apexi makes the RSM which only shows rpms, speed, optional g-force, and est hp. It can show small things like battery voltage as well. The also make the I-moni, that's OBD2 based and can read off similiar parameters.
Blitz makes the Power Meter i-D which is pretty much the same exact thing as the Apexi unit but without the g-sensor.
HKS made a kick ___ unit that is now discontinued called the CAMP (computerized automobile multi-player). That thing showed EVERYTHING and had video out and inputs. With the optional junction box you could monitor speed, MPG, gas mileage, fuel consumption and injector opening percentage. You can also monitor boost, water and oil temps, ait temps, egts, and volts. The past function provides five trip recorders that individually memorize the total driving distance, operating hours, fuel usage and average gas mileage. It sucks they stopped making the unit though, but I'm sure something will replace it, for compatability, it said works with windows 95/98 lol...
Beltronics Vector and G-tech are somewhat identical units that perform similar to the Apexi and Blitz systems.

Almost forgot about this bad boy...They make a HUD version of this too...
