K&N's are nice. I like the Mobile 1 filter and the premium Purelator filters as well.

 

there is a thread here somewhere where they compared filters....the mobil1 for the tC is the same for the xA, which seems kinda small for our car, especially boosted.
The toyota one was actually one of the best ones because of the blow by thingy on it, and it's bigger...

 

yeah thats what my installer told me about the trd ones, he said it has more restriction but not sure bout so i just bought the regular and the new trd oil filter

 

i got a K&N one.. its fine.. i still got alot to worry about....
my f/ic is hooked up wrong i assume cuz my throttle body is still open after turning the car off.. i need to put h-techs in the front cuz somehow after the install my car dropped like another half inch lol.. money money money

 

Im having some major issues with mine, but so far it hasn't cost me anything...what do you mean your front dropped?

 

maybe its just the ground, it shouldnt drop by half an inch, the whole kit should only be about 100 lbs or less

 

the front got lower.. like its starting to get so low its not showing the top part of the tire... idk im rubbing and scraping on alot.. so.. idk h-techs in the front should help then finally put my damn lip kit on.. and vrd fogs.. im in to deep with this car to turn back now lol..

 

what springs are on it now? my hotchkis are almost tucking my fronts too...

 

s-techs.. the rear is nowhere near as low as the front .. i can fit a finger or 2 in rear and none in front..

how could i see if this is true or not?

 

it's easy if you take them out, but if you don't want to do that, you can look for leaking fluid.
taking them out you could tell by compressing them...if they are stock and they don't bounce back, their blown.

With respect to Soflo, it sounds like either the springs are sagging or the shocks are blown.

Filters, I like the K&N, Toyota OE and Mobil. That is about it.
