Default dezon s1 install

ok guys i have to s1 sitting in my closet for almost 2 months now. im thinking about installing it myself. but with a friend that has some skills with mechanical work. he worked on alot of supercharged stangs along wit help from the mechanics from my scion dealership. i know its a bolt on kit but is there anything the i should look out for while installing it? and how do i tap the oil pan?

im kicking myself in the butt because i have a 06 tc with 62xxx miles on it already. . im not so much worried about the motor because my mechanics said they got me if anything happens to it.

all help will be greatly appriciated.

I would have at least 1 other person with you that has some experience doing it especially if you have never seen it done before.

It will also take a good amount of time to install this kit...looking at an 8 hour day if everything goes perfectly. Try looking for some DIY on the oil pan taps and read into them very carefully.

I would also contact dezod if you need help, they will answer anything for you.

Get the pre tap pan if you can or if you can do without your car or know a place that can tap it in an hour or so then just pull it and take someplace to get tapped. Also get a wide band and bring your spipe some place to get the bung welded on.

I was in the same boat you were. I really never did too much to a car but plugs, oil changes, and an altanator before I got turbo'd. I was scared for anyone to help that wasn't a turbo installer. I took it to what is probably known to be the best shop close to me (Titan Motorsports). They charged me $2K to install and tune. I got it back and found out they never tuned it and said the base map was fine. I got a refund for the tune but still cost me $1800. Now they charge a lot because of who they are but the install had no problems.

I regret that to this day. I'm now about o drop my new engine in and will be doing the turbo myself and a friend or two (only to make it go faster). It's pretty simple but make sure you get a PnP harness (I think it comes with one). Also make sure you hook the gauges up. I can't see anything being a problem to install it. Go for it and learn and spend the $1K+ for install on some other mod. Good luck.

For about $100, you can actually order the one they use in the TRD Supercharger kit...
