I will be selling my kit, as a BRAND new kit, as I am getting my car towed home, and putting no miles on it. My dealership has put on 4 freaking cat converters, 2 s/c units, and even a complete motor after my s/c detonated the motor the first time.

My car has less than 20,000 miles on it. (Yes, its a 2007, bought in 06). My car gets taken care of so well, that this S/C unit has me completely baffled. I dont beat on it, no upgraded pulleys, or anything. I just cant believe it. And the whole time I was thinking of DG's s/c'd tc is a little monster. Now hearing he is ditching it, I will be doing the same (not to copy, but more of a potential problem in the future to avoid). I am not worried about making big numbers, but god damn... this TRD setup is killing me. I cant believe it.

My only choice would be who to buy from. Ptuning, Dezod, or Descendant. My cap is $7,000 , including install + tune. I dont want to run more than 310-320hp.

Whoever I buy it from, they are doing the install. I am not taking any more chances, and want it done right the first time. I am in York, PA, so really either World, or Ptuning is going to be my closest bet.

Damn you TRD... Damn you..
You could buy my kit

TorqueTc you should be pleased when you go turbo, no instant torque but when it hits you'll feel the satisfaction and difference between both chargers. And now you won't have to deal with defective parts because you'll be running the best like Tial,Precision/Garrett,AEM, and etc.

Gunnist,. yeah I liked the minor power bump up from the s/c, and I am not doing the turbo just for more power. I just dont want to have the same issues. Out of a low mileage car like mine, I should NEVER of had all the problems I did. The piston skirt blew up like a mini-grenade in my first motor, which they said had nothing to do with the s/c... but it happened less than 100 miles after getting it put on from the dealership.

All I can say is I am glad I have a warranty with this s/c unit. Thats it's saving grace right there. But, I am ready to go with less hassle, and I dont need big numbers either, so I wont be stressing the unit too far. And I have money burning holes in my pocket lol.

I'm Sorry, but I fail to see what ANY of the above has to do with DG.

Well let me put two and two together for you. DG said he is ditching his SC unit, and by seeing the last "team" get rid of it, the discontinuance of the s/c, and multiple failures with it, I was talking about getting a turbo myself and getting rid of my S/C...

I fail to see what your post had to do with any of this for sure. But I am excited to see what DG does next, how they perform with a better setup, and what products they may bring to the market themselves after R&D. If you dont have any information to add, valid questions, or want to view their results, maybe you should move on out of this thread and let people post that WANT to talk about it post.

Here I'll be more direct, arguing about selling turbo kits don't belong here.

back to serious thread. paul, why did the DG race team decide to go with the s1 extreme vs alpha? is there some rule only allowing log manifolds? also, will that 3" v-band downpipe be a production piece option w/ the s1 extreme kit, or is that a one off for DG?

Here - Ill be more direct with you - when you get your mod status get at me ,if you have a problem, take it up with one of them.. The guy quoted me, to buy his turbo. I was putting out there that I wanted to see what _else_ DG is doing that could be new, I will be making a purchase soon as I get my whip back from getting my S/C replaced. The announcement to abandon the S/C (those of us who have it, it could be VERY relevant) - and I would like to know why a certain setup was chosen, what parts might come into production after this. Pretty simple. I hope you dont clutter Pauls thread up with more back and forth trying to argue - step back and take a deep breath, its only the internet. I for one, am interested in seeing how the race goes today. Hopefully your done trying to huff and puff.

Hey knock the crap off Torque! I honestly dont see much relevance from your posts. There is a little but not much. Your first post seems like a for sale ad

Dan's perspective on the matter was less welds = less probability to crack. The tubular has plenty of welds and therefore opportunity to fail in his eyes. He opted for the tested, trialed and proven S1 to get the job done.

The GT-X and 3" v-band MAY be an option soon, however we need to nail some other stuff down first.

He took 1st place in his debut as a Dezod S1 tc in a 3 hour enduro racing wheel to wheel....

If I read correctly, it was like a 2 lap Lead. Probably could have put it in cruise control and still won....

Stock block and the class limits him to about 250whp.
