Default DOH!! I need Help with AEM Wideband!!!

Alright well i guess my extra slack of my AEM wideband got a little loose and dangled to the ground and managed to slit two of the wires open and probably got wet, i electrical taped them but my gauge still just reads 14.8 through 14.7-14.9 but nothing else...

Also when your not on the throttle its suppose to not read anything like this --- and it still just stays at 14.7?

Did i fry the gauge or do i just need to redo the wiring?

Need some help here not an electrical guy at all!!!

not really trying to spend another 200 dollars on the gauge

you may need a new sensor... the AEM Part # is:

UEGO sensor 30-2001

see if there is a AEM authorized dealer near you and get that part ordered.

Did the wires get cut at all? i would take it off, cutout the bad part of the wire, solder it back together, shrink wrap it. then test it before buying new parts.

If that does fix it then something is shorted out, could be the display or the sensor. start with the cheapest.

re-run the wiring first and if that dosen't fix it, then buy a new sensor.

The wiring is probably a big culprit. The wideband reads slight changes and voltage, and the cuts and exposure to water will change that voltage. As suggested above, cutting out the contaminated wire and SOLDERING not crimping the wires back together should fix. If not, I would not change the sensor, rather I would change the o2 harness. IMO
