DTC P0121
I'm pretty sure that's the code. I forgot my code scanner so I'll edit later if its wrong.
Anyway, couple of weeks ago, my car just lost power (still ran, but pushing the accelerator didn't do anything) and I had to coast to a stop. Couldn't find anything wrong so I started it up and seemed to run perfectly. Got back to the parking structure at school and read the code. I'm pretty sure it was this code because when I looked it up, it had something to do with the throttle position sensor. Anyway, I cleared it and car ran fine till this morning.

it happened again. I lost power but the engine was still running. Giving it gas did NOTHING at all like before. It was if the throttle went dead. I coasted to the side of the freeway and shut down the car. Started it again and drove off like nothing ever happend. Then it happed again a couple of miles down the road. Anyway, I'm pretty sure this is the same code. Anybody happen to have this code before? Any common places to look since I will be very busy this week and don't have time to troubleshoot the whole TPS circuit.

The same thing happen to me and I hooked it up to the scan tool at work and it had a mass air code and throttle plate not closing all the way. So I took the pipe the TB and it was dirty as hell. The oil from the air filter had clogged the Throttle plate and wasn't letting it close all the way so it shot up the code and it throws the car into LIMP mode. Limp mode will let you drive the car but only at very very low speed, hence the name limp mode.
I would say do an throttle body clean and change your filter to an AEM dry filter so there is no chance of oil crapp getting in your intake. I have not had any problems since I have done this. Hope that helps out a bit and if you have any more ???'s please feel free to ask.

nah, my car isn't in limp mode. the car drives PERFECTLY fine after i turn it off and turn it back on.
going home from school, nothing happened and when i started the car, the CEL disappeared. i gotta troubleshoot the TPS circuit later. im thinking there is an open therefore causing the ecu not being able to read the throttle position so it throws the code.

The TPS code will do the same thing. It will throw the car in limp mode but as soon as you turn the car off and on again it will drive fine till it sees that code again and then it will kick it back to limp mode. I am just telling you cause I have seen it many times here at work. I work for Toyota-Scion. I am just trying to help as this was a problem I was having to.
Hope you get it taken care of.

well, i just scanned the freeze frame data and it was in fact p0121. hey noskatana, what usually causes that code. is it what you told me earlier?
o ya, got to school this morning just fine without it happening.

well, just happend twice tonight again. funny how i went about 2 weeks without it happening and tonight it happened twice during my drive home. 2 weeks ago it happened twice on the same drive to school also. this is stupid...
well, guess i'll try to clean my throttle body again tomorrow. idk what else to do. i think i read that supercharger user "kanumdrum" had to replace his throttle position sensor. could mines be bad?
