Default Dual Staged Injectors vs Large Single Stage for Large Turbo

I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on if I should use my 550CC injectors dual staged behind the stock injectors to maintain full idle and non-boost gas mileage or just drop in 880 - 1000 CC's and let the tuner deal with the idle and let my wallet deal with the gas mileage.

Let's be honest, it's not like I'm EVER GOING TO BE OUT OF BOOST, but hey, I can dream.

BTW...

Im not that familiar with your set up...

What turbo are u using, are you still using the stock intake manifold and do you use a stand alone or a piggy back?

The reasons I ask...

Turbo = unless your using a 4088 or larger and have a really good head...96lb or 1000cc with be fine. (how are you supplying fuel ie pump/pumps?)

stock intake manifold= how would you add an additional rail with the stock manifold and with the stock manifold you are going to be limited to air flow which will not out flow a single set of larger injectors.

Piggy back or standalone= being limited to or being able to control larger injectors.

Regards-

Todd

The reason I'm even thinking about it is three-fold...

1. I'm having a custom fuel rail made so running 8 injectors wouldn't change much but the design (not my problem).
2. My EMS supports dual staged injectors.
3. I already have the stock injectors and the 550s from my old kit. Together, they would be like your 880's, but i'm not sure 2 injectors that add up to 880 is as good as 1 injector spec'd to 880.

Only thing I dont like about that is, thats more stuff to break, go bad, have problems with, and etc...I think if you did 880's instead of 8injectors youd be in better shape. Thats just my opinion though

Didn't we discuss at great length before I moved back?

Can't I get other people's opinions

Seriously, yes, we did and I thank you for your time.

Oh, BTW... The motor is in the car and fabrication of the manifold has started.

i think you should go dual stage. have the 550s spray 93 octane. and have the stock ones spray chocolate rain.
