i doubt you'll lose any. having an open exhaust will do nothing but help performance. i don't know where scionlife got this idea that having back pressure after the turbo is beneficial in any way.

however. if you are gonna run an open dp. i would get it tuned the way you will be driving it.

well i had the ptuning on and one day i just wanted to see what open dp would be like and i loved it lol. nothing like being loud and obnoxious with the sound of a spooling turbo.. especially when u let off the gas and it slowly stops spooling.. some random guy was like "what is that a dump truck" haha i started laughing so hard.

yeah we installed a dezod kit here and the dp was hitting the trans and we couldnt get the s pipe on.. so when we did the test runs we did it with straight dp and it was hella loud!!! everyone in the neighborhood could hear it! the spool sounded so sick though!!! in hawaii you will get pulled over fast..

i've been driving with no exhaust for almost 2 years and have never been stopped because of it.
lucky, i drove round open dp for a few weeks didnt get stopped but back in the n/a days w/ the exhaust i had i would get pulled over, i thought it was weird being in miami and all. so i just cut the tints have a rather quiet no cat exhaust on my turbo now and i love it...+ the open dump is awsome i love the unexpecting driver who just so happens to have his window down ahead of me lol dump then bov in their faces ....the ultimate satisfaction

You can run a dump exhaust by just running the down pipe and thats it ?

Since I won't get your tube til after the turbo goes on, I'll take before and after shots with the camera mounted in the front of the car, for maximum spoolage.

it goes to you regular pipe towards the back of the car, when it opens, its gonna bypass your exhaust directly to atmosphere like running a very short exhaust and reduce back pressure..

I took my exhaust off and left it at the s-pipe(sounds sick). I know there is a 02 sensor on the spipe. I want to run the car from the downpipe. Where would i put the 02 sensor from the spipe at ?
