Dyno pulls

Quick question, what gear do you guys do your dyno pulls? just wondering what is the best gear to go. Will it make a difference doing pulls on 3rd or 4th?
under 300 ish i was doing 3rd.. but as i got over the 300 mark the tires were spinning on the dyno.. over 350 ish i was just making a smoke show!
but when i do hp chart it was in third..
but make sure you do some street tunning. if this happends or put on some drag radials! Or else the tune wont be right if you do hook up on the street!

i dunno.. but i can tell you this..
ive had my car dyno tuned in 2 places. and dynoed in 3.
everytime ive made a dyno sheet they have done 3rd gear, as i would assume many many many others do

I do not know.. Ill ask my tuner as to why he uses third for this vs 4th.
Maybe for inflated numbers.. i dunno.. I woundered also if its for saftey 4th gear ur spinning those tires pretty fast on the dyno..

alot of shops do it on 3rd gears they say you get the most power rating. but they also say 4th gear is the mos accurate reading. but when you dyno tune it should be on 3rd gear. lol i would just do 2 pull in 3rd and 1 pull in 4th see how that goes.

question about the coilpack, which wire do we clamp that thing for the dyno? i went to the dyno and he couldnt get it to read torque coz he doesnt know which wire to clip

^^ thats for datalogging, at least he got some tuning device to do the street tune.. but yeah there's that thing that is clamped on the one of the coilpack wires, i guess each dyno is different
