Default Dyno video of the Turbonetics Tc kit

First of all let me apologize in advance but the 4,000 fans Turbonetics runs in their dyno room makes it a masacare on audio. I did my best to get away from them and still hear the car but its next to impossible. Well heres the videos hope they at least get you an idea of the sound:

why isnt it done on a dynojet 248c?

isnt that more accurate to the wheels?

Turbonetics owns a Dynapack dyno. Main reason for this is the Dynapack is a load based dyno and therefore is better when tuning a car. The dyno chart Turbonetics has on their webpage with the 244/262 numbers were done on a Dynojet which typically reads about 5-10% higher then a Dynapack but is not considred ideal for dyno tuning since it is not load based but rather inertia based..

Nice vid. Look at that baby rock back and forth. I wonder if its that bad even without a turbo. Sorry I changed the subject but I'll finish with thats a shiny kit!

i c so you saying for TUNING purpose... its better to use a dynopack because you get better and more accurate readings while using a dynojet has the error of the wheel's interia.

dynojet better to measure whp. nice to know thx

Sorry but the fans murder audio when recodring...

As for the dyno yes. A load based dyno is better for tuning a car since it applies variable load to the car to simulate real world conditions. A dyno jet just spins a given weight and doesnt provide reactive load to the car...

I'm not sure if they plan to actually pull for the Scion Day. When they had the Z day I know there was some liability issues with having people walking around near the dyno during the pull but I'll see what they can do... There will be plenty of stuff going down though trust me... They will VSR balance a turbo (spin it up to 50k+ RPMs) to demonstrate how its done at the show..
