Hey guys i know this has probably been posted up somewhere but i want more feedback on this piggyback from the ones who have used it. i was considering buying an e-manage ultimate to tune my car, i want to know their experiences with it. please let me know how good this piggyback behaves with our ecu's or how bad. does it require retuning everyonce in a while or any failure. thanks

id go with emanage ultimate...my setup is the ultimate, no o2 sensors so i can tune in all ranges, and a blow thru maf. The ultimate is the way to go for someone lookin for a little more...i think theres more range with it over the aem but i may be wrong

 

I like it for what it is. Its a far cry from stand alone, but it works good. Wish I could have tried it with a blow-thru set up. Im installing stand alone now.

i have the ultimate and i love itt no problems with it al alll i had it tuned and ran the car on the same tune through winter and summer and was fantastic...my tuner perfers the FIC butt he did a pretty damn good job on my ultimate...my car runss so smooth and i love it...im at 7 psi and making some pretty decent numbers now but im bumping it up to 11 with my meth kit i have

 

That's the Emanage Blue vs the AEM F/IC. Not the Ultimate. Ultimate > F/IC. It has more features geared for racing (2step launch control, speed limiter cut, ability to increase redline) than just everyday driving. F/IC does not contain these features.

 

If you install the A/F sensor harness, you can control the 02 sensors to have the Ultimate "force" closed loop cells into open loop, thus allowing you to tune "closed loop" without having to remove the 02 sensor.

At least that's what the instructions read. I am waiting to buy my new turbo kit in order to test/setup everything. The A/F sensor harness is like $20.

 

yea i have the af sensor harness....i might need to try that feature out cause i miss cruise control

 

to run the ultimate and tune it you just need the unit and the PnP harness for the tC and then just the usb and software right?
i just want to be 100% positive since im be getting it tuned on friday

does anyone use the 2 step launch that comes with it? i havent seen to many utilize it.

 

^^I have, but only in testing. Love the 2step. Make sure it's tuned properly and perhaps some timing pulled while during the 2 step.

 

yeah cause everyone says how great the ultimate is because it has so many features. im going to talk to the tuner on friday and if he knows ultimate well ill ask about the two step. and with the dual maps you just switch between them with the buttons on the unit?
