Default Emanage Ultimate Raising Rev Limit on 07+

So Im about to get an Emanage Ultimate, I just want to make 100% sure that the ultimate will raise the rev limiter on the 07 style fuel cut. Thanks guys!

**EDIT - I NOW HAVE THE ANSWER ON THIS - I HAVE TRIED THIS AND CAN VERIFY THIS WORKS**

You CAN raise the rev limit on any Scion tc (05-10) EXCEPT for the 07. The 07 for some reason also closes the throttle body at redline, which there is no way to bypass. However, if you happen to have an 07, you CAN simply swap in an 08/09/10 ECU (Which you can find on car-part.com for under $100)

Ive done this, so I'm speaking from EXPERIENCE not hearsay (I swapped an 09 M/T ECU into my 07)

There's a lot of misinformation on this that Ive ran into so I just wanted to clear things up.

I have stock head - hoping to go to 7k lol, give my 60-1 a little bit more useable power range

depends....stock head max....MAX i would go is 7...mines at 6800 right now incase i forget to shift

aftermarker head(springs, retainers, etc) you can do up to 8-9k

Yea im thinkin maybe 6800 would be good, the ultimate can implement an ignition cut soft rev limiter correct?

I'd say absolute max on a stock head would be 7300

my stock head is set to 7200 rpm ignition cut and 7400 rpm fuel cut. or vise versa, cant remember off the top of my head.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it is as easy to raise it on the 07+ since it cuts differently than the 05-06.

im thinkin bout goin this route as well but on a built head. we shall see in a couple months. seems like for the price plus a couple hundro more you could jus go standalone.

So the car will be back together soon, I keep hearing conflicting reports on this, I just want to make sure that someone has in fact raised the rev limit on an 07+ using an eman ultimate. Also, due to everything that happened, I ended up putting BC valvesprings and retainers in the head, so Im planning on revving to 7200-7500

my buddy in his 240sx with a KA has been revving to 9k for about 2 years now on BC spring and retainer kit with no problems. i should have gotten those cheaper and good.

Yea, Ive heard quite a few good reviews on the BC Springs/Retainers - My only big concern is if the EMan Ultimate can cut the stock rev limiter on the 07. IIRC, the 07 is a fuel cut, which is what the Ultimate is designed to bypass, but Ive heard people say it wouldnt work with the 07 :/

Soo just talked to PTuning - looks like its impossible to extend the rev limit using the Ult on the 07 due to the way it closes the throttle body at rev limit (and also pulls timing). My one thought, anyone put an 05/06 wiring harness and ecu in an 07? I know Id also need to change the MAF, but is there anything else Id need to change? or would this not work all-together lol

the engine harness for 05-06 is different iirc. so i don't know if that goes to the ecu or not, but that would be another thing too if it does.

Yup ecu, harness, and maf is diff, at least thats what ive been able to find so far. Im just curious if anyone has attempted this. I have an 05 maf laying around, I can get the harness pretty cheap, and I can get the 05 MT ECU VERY cheap lol - Im just wondering what would happen if I hooked up the 05 ecu and harness in the 07. Would the car even start/run? I know they added some type of can bus communication in the 07-up so im wondering if it would cause an issue.

So now I hear a rumor from someone else, that the only ecu that has this issue is the 07, not the 08-up. So I dunno... lol maybe Ill just leave the rev limiter alone and pray my 6262 spools in time to have decent power with a 6500rpm stock rev limit :/
