Default engine wont turn over!!!!

i just put my engine back in my tc last night after boring, forged pistons, rods, valve job, balance shaft delete, and all i get is a putt putt putt from the motor. the battery is delivering juice (relocated to the trunk with 0awg gauge) this is a custom forced induction motor, both previous and now, its running off a emanage blue and its working right. any suggestions?

Get rid of your emanage blue and search there have been a lot of threads with your situation. Look through it you might find something.

my friend has a similar problem he took the motor out and relocated battery to rear, once all put together the light would flicker and motor would just putt putt putt but not turn over.

after like months and a millions other ways to fix it.....it was a ground issure with the battery..so has to d something with the grounding of the battery

The battery is grounded twice with a 0awg and a 4 gauge. The engine is grounded twice with the same. Locations are both sides of the valve cover. This is driving me crazy

And it won't crank. The starter is turning the flywheel but won't crank. Spark are good and grounds are good. Also getting fuel to the injectors.

Or timig chain. Bro it can be so much. You should look into the service manual! Just look through all the pages that show putting back the motor togeter and it will show you alot.

If its turning, getting spark and fuel like you say then its the timing chain....and that seems to be the case 99% of the time on SL with engines that wont fire.

what....what

oh yea...that was my problem bahaha....just check your timing on the cams first so you dont have to pull off the timing chain cover.

if you want to know what the cams should be set at....search for a thread by yamaha....best pictures of it.
