ERL Performance engines specs/pricing
are there any prices or options for a long block build? thats another hot topic these days... lol at least for me. Ive spoke to ptuning and dezod, and theyre both discussing this option.
They specialize in the shortblocks, but with some of there "projects" they use Stewart Racing heads for the head work. So a complete longblock might be an option.
But otherwise no.
You would have to purchase a shortblock from ERL
Then the headwork from Stewart seperately.
Then the customer would be in charge of putting the pieces together (head to block)

Todd
I threw a rod today and i see that they supply a core or you can get me a core means that you can find me a short block that they will build ?

instead of going with unknown i would suggest going thru Dezod or call ERL directly.
At least with Dezod you know they 2AZ motors all the time and actually spend time on it.
If ERL would offer head for 2AZ then i would consider but i think for now Dezod is the way to go.

I really was just looking for info on stewart cause tod who also suggested ERL mentioned they were great on Headwork... Only problem is, ive been tring to contact Tod for futher info on stewart, but hes mia. Really was just looking to see prices and work... Do the guys at Dezod do headwork? I know they sell stuff, but do they work heads?
I had also spoken to Ptuning, and theyre in the process of testing out some cams for a future long block build offering... but theres little info on that aswell. As of right now, Im liking the ERL superdeck shortblock theyre offering, but the ptuning shortblock with balance shaft removal and lightened crank sounds pretty sweet aswell. On the flipside, ive heard cutting away on a hardened crank makes it weaker... can anyone verify that this is true?

Yes dezod actually do work on a head and right now they are preparing to release their short block packages.
And i'll tell you this much that when i get back to the states next year i will most likely order dezod PnP head and BC stage 2 turbo cams and my engine will be basically compelete.

I must agree with you. I have had my sleeved ERL block for about a month now and it truly is a work of art. Feels amazing. I would suggest them to anyone. They are pricey but you get what you pay for.
