Default EVAP VSV Purge Valve - Tick/Tap/Noise Delete and Remove

It sounds like not only me but everyone has this annoying tick (whic is normal) with their VSV EVAP purge valve. What if yuo just disconnected the Solenoid/Valve? Obv you would not pass inspection but would this help or hurt performance? Or maybe even just get rid of that annoying tap in my boost gauge and engine bay?

throw a CEL, mine was removed from my car, for better vac. source but then i put it back in b/c of CEL and rough idle, this little vibrating piece of plastic helps us idle. go ahead cut out the service port i did that....but i dont get emission checkd.

green caped T fitting = ok to remove

best solution i've seen is to insulate the valve with something i.e. electrical tape or what ever. havent done it yet but will very soon i hate that tick

I think the sensor needs to stay connected. As mentioned above, this solenoid or valve helps us idle properly.

I would assume with a standalone you can ditch it - but this is purely an assumption on my part.

has anyone put a meter to it to see if we can replace the valve with a resistor so that it doesn't throw a CEL?

not sure, theres a sensor on the valve, if you delete the valve the sensor doesnt recieve a signal that there is vac.

pretty sure standalones best bet....

the evap is not much of a pain, yeah it vibrates but helps....

this is why vac. blocks are so important for turbo setups on our cars

You sure man? this t fitting is a service port, for emissions, you unscrew the cap and you can plug a line, there should be a plastic tag underneath the T fitting cap.

heres an old picture of my setup prior to getting the vac. block i cut the evap out of the vac. system, silly move dont do it. but you can see the service port (green cap) to the right .

Even the 05s have the cap on them. They all do that I know of.

I cant imagine how that sound could annoy anyone, especially to the point of wanting to go through steps to remove it. I can hear things that most people cant.. and that doesnt bother me a bit.

It's really loud for me.. and that's my fault because I have it zip-tied to my strut bar.

dude your car comes w/ this service port, every car does. its illegal for toyota to release the car w/o this. I installed a turbo kit on my friends 2008 tC, the car was in my garage for 3 days, i know for a fact that the port was there......someone must of taken it out for you while it was at a performance shop.
