Default F.I. Power and fuel ECO.

I'm planning to F.I. my new 07 tC stick and wanted to know y'all pipz fuel ecos...

Can you please post your type of F.I. kit, HP/TQ, transmission and fuel eco before and after the F.I. install?

BTW: how much power can a TRD SC produce when slightly modified? and whats the highest power achieved on a TRD SC?

Thanks!

TRD S/C isnt worth it, dont bother. Costs almost as much as a turbo, more than half of the power output, and from what I hear a turbo would even be more reliable.

If I'm doing Turbo, I'd stick with all Japanese parts, does the Greddy Turbo for tC do any good or should I find something else?

BTW: Can I have a "keyword" on what to search for the MAX power of the TRD SC and info on the numbers of the Greddy Turbo? Also, where the heck is the TRD SC made? (because the Corolla SC gives out 200HP when cammed and Emanaged. Whats with the tC SC?)

THANKS!

Some people have been saying Greddy causes some problems with the tC. I would look at either ZPI, Dezod, or Treadstone. All of those are great turbos. If you consider the amount of boost you put down, they all put out about the same power. There are plenty of threads on all that so do a search for either Dezod, ZPI, or Treadstone and you'll get a ton of stuff.

I put down 201whp/183wtq with just the TRD S/C. Works just fine for me.

Are there other Japanese companies that make Turbo kits for the 07 tC? I kinda don't like how ZPI does their welds, I want my engine bay to look clean and neat...

And do the Turbo kits have everything you need to install except for the Emanage?

Whats brand of Turbo does the majority of tC owners use without problems?

Thanks again...

How much WHP can the ZPI stage 0 or 1 kit make with Emanage Ultimate?

I want at least 250WHP... Also, how much does the typical 250WHP cost to upgrade?

AND CAN I BEAT A MAZDASPEED3 WITH THIS SETUP?

well off of a non tuned stage 0, you can pretty take on most cars that are deemed "faster" than our....including the s2000 and 350z....not quite fast enough for the evos and stis, but you won't get "killed".....250 whp will beat a mazdaspeed3.....i raced my friends in the quarter mile, and would consistently beat him by .5 sec or so....when you're that close in numbers, it comes down to driver skill.....i guess you need to decide what your overall goals are for the tC....

You can pull out 250 with either the ZPI or Dezod kits without a problem. It really depends on the amount of boost you run.

Get the LSD, clutch/flywheel first. After that, get a ZPI Stage 1 or 1.5 turbo, Dezod black box and PnP wire harnesses, and four two step colder spark plugs. You'll have what you want and your car will be beatin out a whole lot of other cars that are deemed "FAST"

Also, a big brake kit and B&G Coilovers wouldn't be bad either, as they help with keeping your car on the ground and stopping it.

NST 9.5psi pulley
MMW Header/S-Pipe
HKS Hi-Power
Fujita TRD s/c CAI, they did the dyno for my car when they made the Intake.

But my set-up is going to be changing again. Right now I only have MMW header, and Greddy DT exhaust, on my stock pulley, with the production piece CAI coming within a month.

DAMN GREDDY! ANOTHER CAR WON'T START AGAIN

I MIGHT BE GOING THE ZPI WAY... OR SOMETHING BETTER.

MY PLAN BASICALLY IS TO MAKE MY TC FAST AND NOT HITTING THE PRICE RANGE OF THE MASDASPEED 3 AND STILL BEAT IT AND MAYBE S2000'S OR SOMETHING ELSE OUT OF ITS LEAGUE, IF I DIDN'T GET SATISFIED, I'LL UP TO 300WHP.

So pipz, how much do you need spend for a 250HP tC? My problem is, my tC only has about 480Miles in 2months (its sitting in the garage ), HEHE! Whats the best mileage to start doing "pre turbo" tranny ups? And whats the best mileage to do Turbo?
WILL THE TURBO PRICES GET LOWER OR HIGHER IN 6 MONTHS?

BTW: Can I please have links of ZPI and Dezod Turboed tC engine bays?

Thanks alot pipz your great help! (IM A NOOBIE IN THE TC WORLD...)

they will stay pretty static, actually zpi just dropped the price on their turbo kits about a month or two ago, and dezod kits are on sale right now until the end of the month i think. so no, they are not likely to dramatically flux in price.

as for price, well, for a bare bones safe tc at 250 whp, you would need any stage 1 kit, and a good basemap, or nicely tuned. running only about 8 or 9 psi. you will need a stronger clutch, and boost, egt and wideband o2 sensor.

so an s1 kit, stage 3 clutch, boost, wideband, egt guages, install and tune. add that up and you will have your budget.

also, don't spend time worring about competeing with every other hot rod on the road. it is an expensive race to compete in.

since cars like srt-4's and mazdaspeed 3's and subaru wrx and so on are turbocharged from the factory, they are already built to handle boost, therefore it is easier for them to simply turn up the boost, upgrade the turbo and tune for higher power than it is for factory n/a cars.

don't get wrapped up in having the fastest car on the road because you never will, just focus on getting the car to make you happy, not on impressing and upstaging every other car on the road.

so whats the obessession with beating a mazdaspeed3???? you would definetly need to run 8 psi or so to get the numbers you think you want.....what the car is rated at hp.tq is not how fast it really is....take the sti with 300 hp, it doesn't put nearly that much to the ground.....seems that you were beaten by a mazdaspeed3 and you want some revenge last dyno i put down 260 whp 260 tq, but that doesnt mean i'm trying to race every car out there!!

GReddy kit works fine, but I don't think they make an '07 kit yet.

Look to Dezod - they have an '07 kit out already. You'll make well over 250 WHP with it. Their customer support is the best.

NO I don't want to be the fastest 4cylinder... I just felt like my tC is a bad buy since there's the Mazdaspeed 3 but, there wouldn't be too much fun if its already turboed so, I decided to plan a Turbo install after I break-in my tC which only has 349miles...

So I'm planning on a Budget Turbo Car, with the price not hitting a base MS3 but, out speeding it.

I want to know the best mileage to do Turbo and how long can my 2AZ-FE last with about 250HP as an occasional ride? Also, about the 0-60 time and quarter mile, typically how fast are they with the following mods?

(My only mods are: Megan Short shifter, GFI stage3, and HKS SLD. future pre-turbo mods are /should be, stage2 or 3 clutch, cat-back exhaust and s-pipe.)

Also, is it a good idea to install a lightweight pulley and flywheel for turbo applications?)

Sorry for the newbiness...
