Uh? I can't even imagine what you'd have to make the block out of.

I know the comparison only loosely applies... but the regulation size for V8 engines this year in Formula 1 is 2.4L, and none of them make that kind of power.
Back in the turbo era of Formula One, some of the 1.5L 4-cyl engines made between 1200-1500BHP in qualifying setup with HUGE turbos and TONS of boost

I don't know about 1300whp but I do know that EVOs are making 1000whp on 2.0 engines.

I don't see the point of pouring that much money into a 4 cyl. V8's have so much more potential.

pretty much anything over 300HP on a FWD car is pointless.

sure you could get slicks for the track and everything but its still just gonna spin and spin if your pushing high numbers.

its called ____ing money into the wind when you could just sell the FWD car and buy a RWD car and make it just as fast for 1/2 the money.

im not saying im all against it, im just saying its not the smartest idea.

thats more to do with our lack of an lsd, and very close gearing. if you have ever driven a 300hp 04 and up srt4. you would see that its all the matter of having the right setup to put power to the ground. im not saying that fwd is as good or better for traction than rwd. but i wouldn't say its pointless.

My friend had a high 200-low 300whp SRT4 and he decided it was a complete waste to try to get more. Sold it and got an Evo. Now he's at 380whp and never came close to breaking the tires loose.

good for him. i know of srt4's that cut 1.8 second 60' on non dr street tires. alot of srt 4 guys just spend about the same money as we do on a turbokit, and run mid 11's all day.
