It is all in the driver. The TC is a big pain in the rear to learn to launch correctly and is pig heavy to try to drag race it being FF... Just takes allot of practice and learn to launch it.

I don't understand how you guys with superchargers manage to hit high 14s..

NA tc's with about $1,000 worth of mods (I/H/DP/E) are hitting the same times.. With the extra power you should be doing MUCH better then a 14.9.

The weird thing is, most of the time you guys get pretty good launches (2.1 - 2.2) and yet still ran terrible times. With that good of a 60' time you can't blame the tires, launch, or wheel hop..

I found a place selling unichips with set maps for the sc running 9psi; they say people are hitting mid to low 13s with this setup

I would love to see this place and an actual time slip.

I think only one or two people have managed a 14.9 ever without boost. "think it was just one guy" and also most peoples launches I have seen are in the 2.2-2.5 range. I do not think I have seen any in the 2.1 range other than mine but I could be wrong.

The 2.1x 60' time was referring to your supercharged run. I was just saying that there isn't much room for improvement there unless you switch over to drag radials.. And even then I doubt you'd go below a 2.0.

I see other supercharged and non-SC'ed tC's hit 2.2 all the time.. I was hitting 2.2's on stock tires with no stiffy. It should be even easily now with some good rubber and the stiffy.

I'll be hitting high 14s soon with my tC's.. The only other thing I need is exhaust and for ZPI to hurry up and send me my pulley that I paid for 2 months ago.

High 14's seem to be about the average with the TRD SC. I'll be happy if my NA tC was running with them.

I already know it's possible, I just have to get a time slip now.

Right on Let me know when you hit it! The average for 99% of tc's with those mods is a 15.4 or more. Only a very few good drivers nail a 15.2 with those mods. Will be very cool to see you hit a 14.9 n/a!

Speaking of launches, I've noticed with the 9.5lb NST, wheel hop is crazy... Does the Ingalls Stiffy make all the difference here?

*WHOOOOOSH!*

"Is that the sound of your supercharger blowing?"

"Nope. That's the sound of another $150 flying out of my wallet."

*sigh*

Never thought I'd be paying actual money to... um... get a stiffy.

14.9 with H/I/E/crank pulley can be had all Day in a tC. Seen it done plenty of times. Note the sig, and we just only had a full exhaust.

Daily Drivers: 6spd Touring Ed 350z, 5spd BSP Scion tC-t....(guess which is faster).

So your turboed tC is faster than your 350z, yes? But which is easier to drive around all day?

There's nothing on dragtimes... All the 14's there are no2 or SC.
