Default Finally decided to go to the track !!!!

Well i have been to the track before but it was just a last second decision. This time i prep'd my car for the track.

Took off my 19's and put stock wheels back on ( Best time with 19's was 15.2)
I had MAD wheel hop and it even kick me out of gear.

I have the Sound Performance Turbo Kit 268 whp 280 tq, other than what came with the kit im stock other than TRD Springs (Which are way to soft) and my TWM "SS".

I have an axle back EVO 2 exhaust but the rest is stock piping. I decided to run without the S-Pipe.

I am still running with the crappy stock bridgestones re92.

Now mind you i am not a professional and i know i can do better but for now the best time i got tonight was 14.365.

I'm pretty sure if i get some better rubber and work on my 60ft times which was 2.225 i can definately hit high 13's.

Heres my time slip (went against an Audi TT with exhaust, intake and chip)

Heres my kit :

And heres my car with my 19's :

I Definately need a new clutch though.

Oh yeah i must say taking off the S-Pipe was a huge help. I didnt think it would make that big of a difference. My tire were screaming for mercy!!

With the S-Pipe off i felt a lot more power in 2nd and 4th gear. I love it. Until i get my cutom exhaust im running without it. Just have to not punch it when daily driven because its crazy loud. Its sound really nice in idle though.

Yeah, driving skills need a little brushing up on. I don't understand though. With that amount of power, you should be in the mid 13's not High. idk, I've seen boosted tC's with stock EVERYTHING, and probably little less hp, still break off a mid 13 run.

I can't wait to get to the track, just wish it dosen't rain this weekend.

I agree. I know im not the best driver and this is my 3rd time drving this car at the track with the turbo. I really need to work on my 60ft times which will help.

I know the car is capable of much better times i could use some better rubber but all in all it comes down to me. Thats why ive been to the track 3 times in the past 3 weeks. Soon ill be putting my time slip up showig my mid 13's

I think you might be able to get into the low thirteens or high 12's if your dyno is right.

Your mph however only suggests you hit low 14's maybe high 13's..

good luck and nice times with the 19's.

try some 15's and you might be able to knock off at least a 1/4 of a second...

Your 60's are really good considering it's a fwd street car with 19's!

Keep trying man i hit 14.05 with my Turbonetics kit. Launching it is the hard part. If we can get the launch down 13's are right there.

Yeah i know. The launch is hard ot get down, thats why i've been going to the track like a mad man because i know i can get 13's if i get a GOOD launch. Well hopefully i will and ill post pics and maybe some videos.

Good luck to you. Your almost at 13's nice run. Let me know when you hit it.

Nice kit.

What track do you go to? I'd like to join you some time and give my kit a run. Never ran the 1/4 mile.

Yeah you need practice. I ran a 14.336 with the trd supercharger, some nice mods and my 18" wheels! And I am at 231 wheel hp right now! 13's soon to come with the old supercharger no one gives credit to haha! In time you will definitly be in the low 13's if that dyno is correct and you learn to manage that power...

Yeah my car is not even tuned yet. Im running very rich. Once I do a few more mods im going to get it tuned and then we'll see what the outcome is. I defenitely wanna go with an intercoller NOS spray bar kit. Hit it when I shift into second, and just keep it going untill the end.
