Only so much you can do? Up to the point of running 380-400whp. That's about what it will do before needing to upgrade the turbo to make more power.
try 330-340whp before upgrading.

So, you dynoed 330whp-340whp on a dynojet? Or Dyno Dynamics? As you mentioned in your dyno thread you dynoed using the same Dyno as before. To which you indicated that previously you put down 330whp correct. What does 330 x 15% = 380whp.

Figured you would figure out I was talking DynoJet #'s. Guess I need to specify every minute detail. Heaven forbid...I give inaccurate information...

it was on a mustang dyno, which gives true whp. not bragging numbers like a dynojet.

this is the highest proven power i have ever seen zpi make on a dyno, and it was with a gt30, not a 16g. also with methanol injection.

Let see, we only know of exactly 5 Built motor tC's on SL. So, you can imagine finding a dynosheet of a "dynojet" dyno for a Built motor ZPI Stage 1 (off the shelf kit) would be a little hard to come by don't you think?

Seeing as how OF those 5 that "I" know of, are on SL (discounting the rest of the world),

1 is Turbonetics

2 are running Turbo Toyota

1 a ZPI kit, but not off the shelf

And the other, Built motor ZPI kit (believe it's an off the shelf Stage 1) hasn't updated his thread in forever.

yep, basically its a stage 1 you can say, with a smaller turbo... the manifold did crack but i got it cleaned and welded up and its holding up fine now.

I am aware of ZPI's history. That example was like perhaps the very first attempt at seeing what a turbo does on a tC. Maybe you should ask Kenny why the 16G was the route taken over using that GT30 for a production kit.

I'm no expert, but I would imagine a few of the reasons would be

-cost effectiveness
-seeing things from a sales perspective = Higher return on investment vs using the larger turbo

Just a to name a few things. And seeing the volume of sales they have done and do today, I can say it was a wise decision.

there you have it folks. straight from travis' mouth. zpi cares more about turnaround #'s than performance #'s. thanks for resolving a long disputed topic here on sl.
