Financing and Super fuel
I was wondering, this might be in the wrong forum, but I was wondering if anyone has financed there supercharger through toyota? I am currently paying for my car through toyota, and was wondering if I could tack the supercharger on with the monthly payment I have.
And also, do you guys that have supercharged run special fuel in your car? Or just regular still? I was told you hafta run special after you get a supercharger.
Thanks in advance.

Main reason is Higher octane burns slower. Under boost, you need the slower cooler fuel to help compensate for the increased compression with the boost. Higher octane is less likely to predetonate under the increased compression.

Compression ratio does not increase, as long as you're not a total retard and get the reflash the car pulls timing for you... But you're right about running cooler and less likely to cause detonation...
And for the original owner:
You're willing to spend 16k on a car and 3K on a SC but you're too cheap to run premium gas????
Maybe you really don't have the money for the SC or maybe you shouldn't be modding if you really have to think about running higher octane on any boosted application...

Toyota will not finance the supercharger. You can refinance with a local bank (preferably a credit union) and try to roll in the supercharger. Good luck.
Premium should be used when going forced induction (turbo OR supercharger) to prevent damage to the engine. You can run regular gas, but it's up to you if you want to save a few pennies per tank but spend a couple grand for a new engine.
Remember to read all of the paperwork for the supercharger as there are important things that you should know to keep the warranty, for both your engine, and your supercharger.
Here's a thread that has some good info, even though the original topic may not apply. Also, ignore the guy that says aftermarket headers won't void the warranty, because having the header does indeed void it (Magnuson-Moss Act still applies, but most people fail to realize that if the warranty states performing certain acts will void the warranty, then the warranty is void).
