Default First Dyno Run For Jet Blue :-)

Sup Fellas

So I went to the dyno today after weeks of trying to get the car to drive like stock and it does. It drives just like OEM, idles hard core but what are u gonna do. Cams, 120lbs injectors (I came down from 160lbs couldn’t get it to idle consistently) and I put one solid mount the rear one and man what a difference in drivability. Anyway so we did a mild tune didn’t really touch the timing much just some gas and boost and it made 440whp at 18psi. I know we could get more out of that boost but we took it easy. Next time I go I’m going to push the boost up to about 25psi. The car should make well over 550whp.

It made 366whp at 13psi so it picked up 70hp when we went to 18psi. One thing for sure the car feels CRAZY! One question though what the hell can we do about tire spin its ridiculous! I’m thinking of putting some led sacks in the front. What have you guys done?

E85 right, hydra ems? tires spins, i guess you would have to put 275 sticky tires w/ really stiff suspension lol.. good numbers, but yeah 25 psi! lets see

Welcome to the 400 club! Why didn't you just go str8 to 25psi? Either way nice as numbers.I also went to the dyno last Saturday. I wanted over 500 but my nice 875 didn't want timing lol. You should he running mmore timing since you have e85 and you probably close to 500 with that same Psi. Did you ever port that TB?

Just taking it slow bro no need to blow my wad too quick :-). I will do it soon I want to try and deal with the tire spin first. All that HP with no hook is useless. I did port the TB and I put it on but the idle was too high so we took it off. We are going to try an adjust the buterfly to help close the gap from the port.

E85 you can run a little leaner..my tuner did clean it up though after that run.

oh, ok. is the dyno using a special o2 sensor for e-85? i thought e-85 was supposed to be in the 9's for afr.

9's! that thing would be bogging out with all that gas. You use the same AFR sensor that you use with pump, you also tune it the same. There are alot of myths out there about E85. You can however run a little leaner, it does not knock as easy.

i say run normal afr but with a lil more aggressive timing and you still would be safe. that e85 is like liquid gold around here lol

The 02 sensor doesnt know the difference between e85/pump gas - all the wideband does it measure difference from stoich (aka lambda). The afr value you see is simply lambda x stoich value. E85 stoich is like 9.7:1, so in reality most of us really are running somewhere in the 7 or 8:1 range during wot. However, most people just leave the wideband setup for pump gas (14.7:1 stoich), so the afr numbers you see, are simply based on a pump gas scale. Some people will just change the wideband to read lambda directly (no afr calculation) and tune based on that. Personally I perfer using the gas scale.

Run file 32... It took 32 pulls to get there and you didint touch timing much?

Looks nice a smooth though.. Glad you got all the idle issues figured out. Its nice to have fast car, but if it dont drive smooth then its not fun!

I used to spin all 5 gears with 255-35-18s. I had ____ty suspension which did not help me.

Raise rear suspension some. run some stickies in front. 0 out the camber LSD. And then still deal with the fact you have 400+ fwd =D

Enjoy nice car, nice setup!

Nice good advice..I didnt do near 32 pulls that for sure, about 10 maybe. We did a low and high boost setting. Damn so you tore up the 255 too huh. Did it at least pull while it spun
