all these differences in quotes remind me of back in the 80's; we had a CRX on order ( HF model ). One ins company up here called it a sports car cuz it had 2 seats ( that model couldn't get out of it's own shadow let alone be a sports car ); another company called it an economy car and gave us an additional discount.
The thing damn near got as many mpg's as it had for HP.
But each ins company's rules were so far apart from each other it was almost funny.

So after getting different quotes, i went with natiowide insurance. They just had me list my mods and the worth but doesnt cover engine mods or performance mods though.. suck but it least i got something to cover my ice and exterior mods.. Geico was cheapest but sucks coz they wouldnt take my "race" car bhahaha.. some insurance like statefarm, all state, farmers etc doesnt have an option to add aftermarkets so i didnt bother going to them coz it might be a mess for claims when there is no clear writing that they cover your aftermarket parts.. The agents maybe able to do arrangements those but opted to chose those who really welcome mods from the start
