Forge Splitter Is In
Ok so i put in the Splitter today and I guess at first the spring was too loose because it sounded like it was leaking under partial throttle or just normal driving. So i tightened up like fifteen clicks and then it was silent so i loosend it up about eight or so and it seems to be holding boost well and sounds pretty nice.
1) has anyone been running a splitter for a while now?
2) Is there anything you can do about the chatter at idle?
3) When your just driving around does it sound like air is escaping through the horn, and then when you go WOT it stops?

Yea i read through every thread on the splitter on SN
I put the forge back in to see how much boost im getting at redline. I had my brother look at the gauge and he said it got to about 8.5-9 with the splitter. So im gona see what it hits with the 007.
I was looking for more of an update on anyone who is still using one?
Im also going to the dyno on sat. and im going to hook up both BPV's and see if theres any difference.

Im gona get it on the dyno before i decide what to do with it. But thanks for the offer
EDIT: Here's a better explanation of my experience thus far :
Originally I believe i put it about ten clicks clockwise (to stiffen the spring) and at idle not only was there a chattering from the BPV (which forge says is normal) but i could feel air escaping from the atmospheric port. IDK if thats suppose to happen. Anyways, i drove around and even during partial throttle i could hear air escaping through that port.
I then tightened it up and the "chatter" ceased but so did the blow off sound, which i assumed was a result of the spring being to stiff. I loosened it up a few notches and it seems to be holding boost alright. Im getting about 8.5-9 maybe psi at redline (im using the nst 9.5 pulley) and its still chattering at idle and leaking air via the atmospheric port.

I'll see if i can make some. I know theres a few on you tube already.
I spoke to Forge and they said that in order to get the same spring rate as the yellow spring in the bosch 110 to turn the Forge 25 times. So im gona give that a try

i got the go fast bits hybrid and mines does the same when i accelerate the sound goes away but when i let go of the accelerator on normal driving you hear all the air come out .. and keep coming out while the car is slowing down... but when i have my foot on the accelerator at WOT or not it goes away.. but i got used to it... it hold boost so whatever cause my guage reaches to 9.5 at redline... if i wasnt deployed to afghanistan i would have met you up and seen how yours is comepared to mines. i should be home in 3 months from here.. if you still got it we can meet up!
