Default Friend just bought my other block

So i bought a motor off of MUNCH on here.

It is exactly the same as my build but i decided not to use it to prevent any failures since i had such a high hp goal..

My friend who has a tc bought the motor and wants to know if theres any way he can ensure everything is ok with it..

Is there anything he can do.. Its fresh built never been turned over, never had a head bolted to it.

cylinders look good.. but how do you look anything else over?

Since there isn't a head on it yet the best bet would be to have a machine shop take it down all the way and recheck everything. Better to be safe than sorry and blow the engine because you don't know who built it.

Can all the components be used? Or does he have to purchase new bearings?

check for cracks, debur it, and measure measure measure.

that's about it

even after the machine shop looks at it measure measure measure, they should be able to give you a blueprint of the motor so you can base specs off of that

+1 on what's been said. Machine shop check over gets my vote.

I think you can re-use the bearings if the engine has never been used yet and the bearings are still brand new. Also I agree with having a machine shop strip it down to figure out the specs. It is the only way to know for sure.

X2 on the bearing...it's perfectly fine to use the brand new bearings..
