Default Gauge install

i searched for a bit and couldnt find any good DIYs for wiring gauges. If someone can point me in the right direction or link me to a DIY it would be much appreciated.
A local shop quoted me $175 just for wiring the gauges. I have installed two turbo kits by myself so i should be able to do this as well, right now im just running a boost gauge with no power to it

Just tap the power from the cigarette lighter. It'll turn on with the car and turn off with the car. Done deal!

You need to find all of your DIYs and make a Crushtuned DIY thread

Use a test light and find a wire to tap into at the fuse box under the cabin driver's side. A source that cuts on/off along with the key. i did this with my boost and UEGO gauges. Very easy, only power and ground.

I put both my boost and wideband gauges in the cubby and used a doc iso blank panel to fill the void. Everything (wires and vac line) come in from a hole I made in the back upper part of the cubby in front of the bulb. Looks stealth and almost OEM with the matching gauge setup I installed also

Anyone else use the cigarette lighter for powering devices and find out that the labeled 12V on the connector is actually ground?? Maybe they jacked mine up from the factory with the wire colors or something...

When ever I have installed gauges I used a fuse tap on the cigarette lighter. I would not bother tapping the wire. It is much easier this way
