Just got a tubo kit to!! My buddy had me look into innovative and the whole wideband kit w/sensor,wiring,and gauge is all 280 pretty cheap. I just have one question I cant use the pillar pod cuz of airbags....What to do? I was thinking making like a holder were the cubby hole is in front of the shifter but idk. ideas?

 

i have the air bags too...i just was figurin on buy a pillar pod that goes on the outside and just not wreck lol....and im looking at oil presure, wideband, and boost all digital by aem for $480

 

I have an electronic boost gauge, wideband AFR, oil pressure and a scangauge (ignition gauge, water temp, etc). EGT is also an important gauge.

Since you can't do the A Pillar, you can do the dash mount.

I'm using the Cobalt series - but for the Wideband I went with Innovate LC-1

 

i like the blue cobalt series, all blue digital.. combine them it with the innovate digital WB gauge and it looks sick.. even the cobalt wideband should be as accurate as aem since it also uses the bosch sensor

 

so as long as i go with the aem, cobalt autometer, or innovate i should be set.

That's the gauge I'm using with the LC-1 ... the DB gauge in blue.

 

i think i'm going to get the innovate LC-1 with the DB blue gauge and then cobalt oil pressure and boost/vac

 

I am sure someone has said this already, but do not go with glowshift. The guages suck and the pods do not fit right.

Go with autometer guages though, as far as which ones. I am running boost and A/F.

 

lol yes...it has been well established that glowshift sucks and is just for looks...glad i asked before i wasted $

I love my Stewart Warner gauges (boost/vac, oil press, EGT). Classy look and they work great.

I have the curtain airbags so I relocated my headunit and mounted my gauges behind the radio door:

 

that looks good...but got a double din DVD headunit so not going to happen lol...i was told you can run a pillar pod with the side airbags anyway

 

That is correct. If the side bags go off, it pushes the panel out a bit, but the bags don't actually come out of the pillars. The curtain bags come out of the headliner.
