wot pulled strong btw. there was still a very tiny bit of misfiring but nothing like before. a new set of plugs should be all it needs now.
...on to the bad news. i could feel the seals in my clutch master cylinder going out AGAIN!! so now i have to scramble to fix that before sunday.

Like I said in an earlier post, I have never seen a tC coil go bad. Our tC has been through many parts, coils havent been one. I run a .020 gap on my xA, stock coils 117,000 miles on them. I don't see why running a tight gap would blow a coil because I have seen plugs gapped completely closed (motor damage) and the coil was fine.
Many DSM guys run a 18 gap, along with a co-worker who has a Civic that runs 6's in the 1/8th. The tC ignition system is well enough that you don't have to run a gap that small. The ideal gap is to have the largest gap without misfire, and like I said..... a 24 gap is what you want on a 400whp tC. I have seen it again and again on the dyno.
P.S. I said the word gap a lot.

no, i will sleep just fine tonight. getting ready to get smashed. after working back to back doubles at work over the last two days, and trying to find a clutch master cylinder, i've had no luck. the only place in town that had anything remotely close, wich was a camry master cylinder, had a friend of a friend drive the part from another town to try and meet my deadline. unfortunately, the part does not fit. so im just gonna buy a true oem master and slave cylinder this time and try again next wednesday night. as far as getting an exedy unit, i exited when i first heard about them. but i find it a little hard to believe that it would be any good and only cost $20.

there are plenty more places selling it for that price. i'd rather just get the oem one. it lasted about 50,000 mi with a cm stage 4 and a cc stage 5. both have some pretty heavy duty pressure plates. so im just gonna go with what i know works.

the exedy unit may be better than oem. but i dont intend to find out. im just gonna go with what i know works even if it may be cheaper to get an aftermarket one.
