Default Got my used DEZOD AEM EMS today have a problem.

Well i got it in yesterday and there are two wires that are not connected to anything.. One of them i know is for the wideband o2 output. But the other i can not figure out.

I called dezod but paul said he could not tell without seeing it in person.. Maybe someone else has seen this.

When i look at the aem ems wiring diargram its says primary o2 input.

Here is a pic of the aem side connector of the wire thats connected to nothing. its white and color and i pulled the wire into a little loop so u can tell which one it is
Pin c16

In this picture these are the aem side connectors you can see which plug it is that the wire goes to..

Here is the white wire not connected to anything on the car side of the pnp harness

does the aem unit draw all power from the ecu or it needs a supplemental 12v source so get adequate voltage.. im thinking it could be a wire for a 12v source not sure though

After getting some time to look into this deal (didn't have time right when you called)

There should be several flying leads on that harness:
(1) Wideband O2 input (C16) This is the 5V analog input for a WB O2
(3) For MAP Sensor (Power, Signal and Ground)
(2) IAC Power & Ground

Sorry, it's not easy for me to TECH something used like that RIGHT on call with demand while in the mix of doing 3 other things. We are technically not supposed to tech support second hand purchases like this, but I try to help out where I can.

Totally understand paul. I just knew alot of these were sold and someone else might of know what it was right away.. I understand since i bought it second hand its no longer your problem.

And i do appreciate any assitance you give me or anyone for that matter. You guys are as big as your are for a reason. Thanks

hopefully dezod can release a pinout diagram on this.. or finally aem will release an aem standalone unit for the tc.. that way there will be a better tech support concerning issues like this.

Supporting second hand purchases of such an item are not easy. We do not know what the other person did. We tech support all of the new AEM EMS purchases with ease because we know EXACTLY what they are getting and what they need to do.

Through e-mail he said for 75.00 He would update it to the current box there using.

But im going to assume he would want the harness pefect to do it..

Plus he's pretty backed up making there standalone box's right now and wouldint be able to do it untill end of next week..

I really just need to get the car started!

If your box is that old this may not be a bad idea for you. Paul has been really helpful with everything I have asked and more.

I knew what you meant, I didn't know if you knew how it burned up on him though, was it something he tried with the box and it caused it to burn up?

I know who's box it is then. The com port took a dump and stopped working causing erratic responses to the box. AEM serviced the unit and it worked fine since then
