greddy ultimate vets
i did search countless hours first, thank you very much.what's needed to advance timing and tune a/f on my ultimate. i want to get aem wideband, and egt sensor to help tuning. im trying to get everything for the tuner first. do i need 1 step colder plugs for this? any info or link helps, thanks.

one step colder plugs are pretty much a need when boosting.....advancing timing with the emanage is as easy as hitting the page up button.....wideband is a must....egt is great to have but if hes a good tuner he will have a knock detection device....if not you can just an egt gauge but its not recommended.

If you look at Greddy website/tech it has the manuals for the ultimate, which do include SOME(little) advice for tuning. I have found that no one here likes to post up too much info about tuning, probably so we don't end up hurting ourselves in the end.
Try pming certain people from the forced induction section.

it's all motor build. im not tuning, so i dont need maps. im looking for what's needed to advance and tune timing, like wich wires or sensors or a graph on how it wires up. do you guys think stock spark plugs hold up or go colder, thanks.

Your going all motor it's not worth all the money. I think the most power someone has made on here is tcpete all motor and he made a lil over 200. You won't get much out of tuning a all motor 2az-fe. Just my opinion. I would love to see som crazy hp all motor Tc but that won't happen.

it's not about what others have done. i got the ultimate free, so why not max out what i have available. im not going turbo, not worth the cost, im getting a street bike for quick speed later.

like i said there is not much room to make power in our cars all motor. but go for it. so who is tuning your car then? and what do you have done? not worth going turbo? lol if you say so. i'm turbo and loving every second of boost!

i live in cali, and the fines and impounds are not worth it in that sense.

fines like what emissions? why impound? theres alot of turbo cars in cali! sorry i'm from florida. i dunno the laws in cali. i did see the street racing show on mtv that it was filmed in cali lmao.

you get an emissions ticket, not impound. just dont be an idiot. i got pulled over twice in a weekend when i was turboed with a loud azz open midpipe and they had no idea it was turbo so they just let me go.
where are you going to get it tuned? churches in long beach? i heard they are good tuners

You would probably dont need to advance a lot if you need to.. I think the stock ecu has a lot of advance on it being a NA so most do retard ignition rather than advance.. But you having a built motor with lower compression i see you probably need to advance timing. you just prolly need the emanage pressure sensor for tuning, egt gauge properly installed and afr gauge would be nice, im sure if theyre a good shop they log afrs on their dyno or even OBDII logger to check for knocks and fuel trims
