Either way, the ones they offer look pretty nice. Good guys too. Be careful walking in their shop though, you'll fall in love with one of their built Supras.
It looks like it is just a polished stock valve cover, and I think the core charge business pretty much proves it. I am sure that you could get your valve cover polished for less than what they are asking. I had a larger intake manifold polished for less than that at a polishing shop. Around here (So Cal) you can find polishing shop fairly easy. They are not good at getting into the nooks and crannies though, but the shine blinds you so it is hard to see anyway. You could always do it your self as well. Eastwood sells kit I believe.
Thats cause this is an actual valve cover not the engine one. ok image isnt workin for some werid reason but cliky this linky and itll work to show. http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.c..._1893_57106942
I do realize that this is the valve cover and not the plastic engine cover, and it sure as hell looks exactly the stock piece. I looked at the picture in the link and was thinking that they had done a nice job with the polishing. Then I remebered that the valve cover is a die casting not a sand casting. On sand castings you have to remove the sand impresion in the surface before you can really do any polishing. With a die casting the surface is very smooth to start with. It should be hardly any work at all to polish. It seems like a fair bit of a rip off for that kind of money. If it comes with the coil cover it's maybe not so bad on the price.
