Default Help with AFR readings

Alright well i start my car and the gauge goes to super rich --- but when i give it just alittle gas bringing rpms to 1000 it is on 14-15. im still new to this gauge so any help will be appreciated. also i just now found out that my downpipe is leaking horribly right where it connects to the s-pipe. the sensor to the wideband is on the s-pipe so will this cause it to give this reading????? this is the first start-up since turboing the car so that is why im concerned thanks

okay so fixed the leak and readings are as follow. at start-up the car is between 14-15 all the way till warm up. crusing speeds 13-14-15 between there. under boost 11-12, sometimes it hits ten but its real fast then back. okay heres the strange part after a cruise when i shift it flat lines --- then goes back to normal and when i hold the clutch in to like slow down or down shift same thing...now after i get back and have it idle it flat lines ---???? confused as to how this happens *note i currently cannot tune due to the fact that i have a treadstone kit still awaiting the ultimate that is on it way. thanks for the replies

when you shift it will do that....its called fuel cut....when you engine break it will do that as well.....as far as idle it should be at 14.7

idle sits at high 14s and taps into 15s sometimes it kinda fluctuates between there. also it flat lining like that when i shift and engine break is it safe cause i really don't want to mess anything up

When you back off the gas you go into open loop OR Fuel CutOff since you don't need to inject fuel into the engine when slowing down or between shifts when the engine is reving down. At those points there is no reading from the O2 sensors that make any sense. Sounds pretty normal - you just haven't seen it before.

I remember the first time I used the ScanGauge and watched the fuel burn rate go all over the place - you don't realize how easily your gas foot moves without thinking about it to keep the car going steady.

Stabbing the gas after coming off boost probably is a tuning issue. You get some wastegate response and boosted air rushing in suddenly and the ECU hasn't been adjusted to handle it yet. Sort of the thing you used to get in the carb days with the accelerator pump that would inject extra fuel when you stabbed the gas pedal to make up for the intake manefold vacuum sucking in a bunch of air when the throttle plate opened up even though the engine is not sucking it into the cylinders yet there is still a mass of air that rushes in that needs some fuel added to it.

oh and the reason why your car is stalling.....is because your bov is venting to atmosphere......it happens on almost every car that has a MAF that is running an atmospheric bov that isnt blow thru.....im gonna give you a tip man..........use the search button before you start messing with another car
