Default help please

Well I was doing ok, slow but ok till I got to that last right bottom bolt on the stock manifold. The 12 socket i was using will not fit as you know so I tried a open head wrench. Ive tried 3 12mm and all were a lil loose and started to strip when i used the hammer. I also use wd-40. I dont have a 11mm to see if it will fit but it shouldn't. When I was hammering trying to loosen it up I think I f(#()@)e up the threads also heres a pic.

any advice/help?

I thought about that but the bolt is in the engine block and the nut is all the way on So if I did cut it I would have nothing to grab on to, to remove the bolt; if it even is replaceable

Doesnt look fully stripped to me. You need to go get yourself a pivot socket and use the smallest wrench possible. you want to use the smallest head you can also. So use a 3/8" drive wrench and buy the smallest 12mm u can find and buy a pivot extension.

I took that same bolt off on a car with a supercharger installed so I know its do-able. I used a 1/4 drive wrench with a small 12mm and a coiled "bendable" extension.

If you must take other routes.. im sure that stud can back out and you can buy a new one. Just be patient and dont go straight for the drill/dremel. Good luck

At first I was only looking at the bolt itself... which doesnt look stripped a 12mm should still work with the right pivot extension but I didnt notice the threads on the stud were stripped.... howd that happen???

One of your only options right now is to put another bolt that youve already taken off from a diff header stud and put it on the one pictured. So youd have two nuts on one stud. Hopefully it can tighten down enough or at all. If it does .. than you have to use an open end wrench to grab the bottom nut and loosen that... which will pull the stud out instead of the nuts. Hope you understand that and once again good luck.

edit:
Im still stuck. I tried to loosen the belt tensioner to remove the belt but it did not budge. I started removing a bolt that held the altinatior in place but im scared the altinator would move out of place and I could not get it back. is there a way to remove the belt or loosen the tentioner so I can get the belt off? Ive tried everthing I can think of. any advice?

an open end wrench won't work because the 12mm is loose b/c of a lil stripping, and the 11 I sawed down to fit is slipping off.
