so far it works but its hard to tell just how well since my map runs fat on anything above 8-9psi. Just tried it out yesterday and hit 12psi, once i play with the fuel more and get afr's in the butter zone ill be able to tell just how well this "po boy" version of an MBC works.

Next time u need to do this.

I found the sickest PO MAN BC

Autozone carrys a cheap pressure regulator designed for a air comprersor. its brass and very small and even a click style screw. then they sell hose fittings both sides.

under 10.00.

But yours look good to.

just got back from a little tuning...got two issues now. first im starting to head to high idc's, sitting at 78% @ 16.5psi. second my maps end at 16psi....time to rescale...oh also realized another issue, car is just too damn fast to be doing street tuning...getting a bit dicey so from hear on out its either the dyno or track

Isn't 16psi to high for the stock internals? Also chris do you remember how much psi i can max out before these 550s tank?

16psi is quit high for certain turbos....I did a few calcs using my old dyno sheets and I should be in the power range of 312hp - 365hp. According to my past dyno sheets this turbo was able to produce 10-13hp per 1psi of boost. The reason for the wide variance is due to a couple of dyno sheets were at a time when tune was very very rough but i took those into account anyways. So at this power level im pushing it but its not insaine. The issue is going to be intake air temps at this level so ima have to be carefule with timing.

I might also add that these numbers are by no means accurate...just a ball park. A few things have changed between then and now such as intercooler, pipes, manifold, injectors, and downpipe which have not been taken into account.

thes numbers are based on log mani, 2.5downpipe, stock axle back, 2" hotside ic pipes, 550cc injectors running a high idc.

Chris you should be able to get to 10-11psi on that turbo running an idc of atleast 80%

thats also going to vary depending on elevation and other factors.

if my last dyno is correct then yeah you should either get 300 or very close to that mark.

thats what they say...dont get your hopes up for high numbers...I have a suspicion my last dyno was off. Iv looked at all my other dyno sheets and they were consistant with making 10hp per psi of boost then the last one I made 13hp per psi of boost. seemed a little funky but then again that map was much more refined on the last dyno session.

oh hey chris one more thing bro...i hate to have to say this but your intercooler is bound to chip real bad. my driverside end tank is almost entirely bare aluminum now. I just noticed it today and used my fingernail to scratch off more. Its like it was just rattle can'd on polished aluminum...FAIL on mishimoto's part
