i think i do better with arc on thick mild steel, but welding this supper thin pipe with flux core wire is kicking my butt. I was practicing today after work and kept burning holes in the pipe, but then i started to get the hang of it. welds still look like crap though but no more burning holes in the pipe.

d-day tommarow and i just got my exhaust cut out in today. Ill install it tommarow.
just to give everyone an update i went ahead and installed the FIC yesterday and loaded a certain somebody's map on. Works like a charm but i have a cell. Havnt been able to check it yet. I had to scale down the injectors to stock size(well near stock) from 650 to 370. I dont plan to run stock injectors forever though but for the time being i dont have much of a choice. As soon as the injectors come in ill istall those and get a proper tune.

lol search google our motor is a open faced deck that means we have a big weak spot no suport for a sleeve during the ignition stroke nothing to suport the sleve so a closed deck does let me find some pics

see how there is a suport ring with water holes so you can still maintain good cooling but suport your sleves closed deck lol kinda get what im saying

I think stock injectors are are actually 340, which might be why it's running rich, but who knows what the hell that map woudl do on a non boosted car!
Anyway, if the code your throwing is jus the P0420, do what I did and copy the entire 02 table from the X map onto the UMS map...I did, it altered my AFRs a little (richer out of boost, leaner in boost) but my CEL has not come on for a week and 100 miles!
