but dude how did you find one? i want one so bad but i keep finding ones for 1700-1800 which of course negates the whole purpose of my build.

 

I find em at a local junkyard....i can get you one for cheap im sure....prolly for 500 on a compleat engine...let me know if your intrested...shipping will be a killer but if your serious ill see what i can do about shipping.

most of em at the junkyard i go to have 2az's from a camry...i dont remember what all years though but i think same years since the tc.

 

Someone send me some documentation on how to basically build/teardown/ the 2az's....I would like to look it over as well.

most of the info i got came from gingles here on sl...he gave me a link to downloading the entire tc repair manual...or you could just pick up a chiltons (or haynes) for a camry...it will have the same engine info.

 

guys just to let ya know i can get ahold of 3 2azfe engines for 500 a piece...now i dont know the condition of em but if i get you one ill do a teardown of it to make sure its a worthy block and head to build on...im not going to get into measurements but just look for outright damage. let me know guys and ill do my best to hook you up.

Hey Garrett, welcome back bro!!! Got to get together after the family goes back home man, maybe track.

Chris the exhaust heat wrap is damn time consuming, at least it wasn't itchy though. Got it really tight and then sprayed it with the DEI black silicon stuff. Hope it helps with the engine temps.
Also noticed while doing the s-pipe, that the clearance between the s-pipe and oil pan was about 1/8 of an inch. I wonder if that could of caused the oil to heat up more that it should. Once again, hope that wrap helps.
