Your going to love the responses you get.........

But to be honest it doesn't matter. It all depends on the turbo/supercharger you are running.

x turbo might flow y amount of cfm at 10psi and get you 300whp

and y turbo might flow z amount of cfm at 10 psi and get you 340whp.

Just depends on the specs of what you are using to force the air into your motor.

Do you have a setup in mind? Get the details on what you want and we might be able to give you better answer.

Good luck.

Regards-

Todd

for what applications? if it is your daily driver, most kits push about 10 psi and are daily driven, like most of the zpi stage 1 kits. the greddy kit comes pre-set and tuned to 8.5 psi for like 100 whp gain. if you are new to turbos, i'd start at what the greddy kit is tuned for, and get used to that. then when you think you are ready, up the boost and get it tuned for it up to like 10 psi.

if this is just for weekend track times, you can run alittle more boost but above 10 psi on a stock motor is pushing it in my opinion.

psi is irrelavent, its just a number. what u really need to focus on is how to get the best tune possible. for example lets say the 2az COULD take 20 psi, if u have a garbage tune its possible to make less power than stock if not you just blew ur engine. at the same time if u have a good tune you can make major power with 8.5-10 psi. another thing to look at is not all turbo's flow the same, one turbo at 6 psi is not the same at another one at the same psi. A/R's should be on more minds than psi.

I will probably go with .63 A/R with Dezod`s kit with ball bearings. How much PSI could I boost it up to?

This turbo will probably not allow much more than 10-12 on a stock block with good tuning.

Your engine/fuel management is just as important as the setup you sellect. Make sure someone is tuning it that knows what they are doing. You don't want lean out or your motor won't last very long. You can't so much depend on the cheap air/fuel meters either. Take your time, do some research, and find someone locally that can help you. Anyone can bolt on a turbo, but it takes some time and patience to get it right.

I wouldn't go more then 12psi at the track and no more then 10psi for daily on the greddy. Best thing is keep it at the stock setting for daily driving and when at the track turn it up to 12. It should be fine and this is important... if you're tuned well.
