Default how much boost should i go for?

i'm about to get my tC tuned by CFT (central florida turbo) this weekend. And still deciding on how much i should boost with STOCK clutch. Right now i have the following installed..

Turbonetics turbo kit (complete kit)
AEM F/IC
K1 connecting rods
Cometic Head Gasket
Wisco low comp. Pistons 89mm Bore
And a custom axle back exhaust

I am wondering how much i can boost with STOCK clutch.

Alot of it depends on your driving style, but i wouldnt go too much over 7-8psi untill you get in an aftermarket clutch. Even that will be hard on it if you beat on the car.

the higher you go, to quicker its gonna get shredded.

get it tuned on like 10-12psi but turn it down and just run wg pressure until you get an aftermarket clutch. unless you can wait to get it tuned...

thats what i would do...

but do you sometimes boost once in a while? And how long do you think the stock clutch will last with 10lbs?

numbers depend on many different things, cant just expect everyone at a certain boost level to have a guaranteed hp/tq range

you should just go buy a clutch, injectors, and fuel pump. insure yourself reliable daily boosted fun witness no worries on things wearing out and such. boost safely!

with your setup i say 8-10 will be ok but get a clutch that will handle the torque.

boost till you get to 300whp or 300 torque! thats when my clutch went. but then again i used to beat on my car like crazy lol might as well boost high so when you clutch goes your already tuned for high boost. and dont have to get retuned.

I raped my clutch when I was putting 295 down. Any boosting in 5th gear and the clutch would just slip. I dropped the boost down to 6PSI (230-250WHP) and the clutch has been fine.

what exactally do you mean by the clutch would just slip. How long do you think it'll last at about 9lbs? i mean, it wont wear out right away..

If I kept driving around at 295WHP, I think the clutch would have lasted about 2,000 miles.
