Default I definitely need an lsd and some better tires

took the tc to the track tonight for the first time with the turbo. The best time I could run was a 14.09 @104. My 60' times were in the high 2.8s. Everytime I launched I spun straight through 1st, 2nd, and halfway through 3rd gear. After my first pass I noticed my afrs were in the the low to mid 10s so i pulled 15% fuel out up top and was still only at like 11.1 afr. After I pulled the fuel out the car spun the tires even worse. After 3 runs I just gave up cause all I was doing was hurting the car with wheelhop and I'm still on my stock clutch and it wasn't slipping so I didn't want to take the chance of hurting it. All in all I now know this car would easily be in the mid to low 13s if not into the 12s with a lsd and some decent tires. I guess they will be my next investment.

Same here.. havent been to the track though. Check out my sponsor for some tires - pm me I might be able to hook you up.

to reduce wheel hop - get motor mounts!

LSD wouldnt hurt, neither would a new clutch better suited for more torque.

Traction troubles, torque steer, babying the stock clutch....and still running low 14's.

I wouldn't go back to N/A for ANYTHING!!!

i was launching at about 2,500 rpms. that wasn't the problem. i hit full boost at about 3,300-3,500 rpms. as soon as i hit that range the tires just light up in first and 2nd gear and then they spin into third when i shift.

Just be careful.

You can buy stickier tires, and a really good clutch.....put it all to the ground via a LSD.....but:
Once it hooks, OTHER stuff is gonna start breaking.
Take it from an old-school Super Pro drag racer!

Know your weak spots and you'll never have to bum a ride home from the track!

i think everything will hold up. i see other people on here running more power than me and their axles and tranny are holding up. but my motto always was "if it breaks then it needs to be replaced with something stronger"

In drag racing, if it can go wrong....it most likely will. But I guess that's half the fun!

Keep us posted!

wait till you get the LSD .... you will still have wheel spin issues ... as soon as you get used to driving with it you just let the clutch out harder ...and it seems like the lsd isnt even there. hehe. trust me.
