Default To install or not install

So I'm teetering on a Treadstone kit (have been for a month)... I haven't boosted a car in quite a while and my dynamics have changed quite a bit... So let me give you the scenario and my concerns...

I have an 07 tC with 7.5k miles on it.
It's my daily driver
I don't race, but definitely want more power
I live in Houston so the morning/evening commute is stop/go
The weather is 90-100 degrees for 9 mo/year

So here are my questions...
Should I be watching out for anything in particular... it seems like that turbo is really going to heat up the engine.. and while most times I won't be in a boosted condition because of traffic... I'm still concerned..

Synthetic and 91-93+ octane is a must obviously.. but is there anything else I can watch for as far as keeping things together, from overheating, etc.. each time I start up I'll let it warm up and when I go to turn it off, I'll let it idle for a min or two to keep the oil moving and prevent coking... but is there anything else?

How many people are daily driving their boosted tC? This kit will be conservative 7psi (no management though)... I just would like to keep some longevity on this car ... I don't plan to drive the ____ out of it.. but ya know..

i woulds say for about a week after you install it. check and tighten all nuts and bolts on all flanges, or anything that heats up. also keep all vaccum and oil lines tight. exhaust leaks, vaccum leaks, and oil leaks, are probably the most common problems with turbo kits.

p.s. if your that woried about it you should have kenny do it. i notice you live in houston. just ride on over to his shop. i hear very good things about that guy.

Not to start another thread, but if I saw Kenny it would not be pretty..... he owed me more money than one could ever imagine...

I'll be re-checking everything.. I'm also looking at the fitment issues with the treadstone kit and preparing with the oil fittings, getting a second pan (and tapping it ahead of time!), and finding a weld shop local where I can have them plasma cut my crash guard...
