Intercooler idea..

Default Intercooler idea..

Might or might not work.

I was basically just thinking how a air-2-air intercooler only cools when there is air moving through it. So unless your car is moving at a significant speed it dont do too much. I was just thinking about all the people who get heavy traffic sometimes and their cars not moving too fast. It might also help in normal speed operation also.

Getting two of these fans.. or any thin 12v fan available from ebay for pretty cheap.



And placing them BEHIND the FMIC so its sucking air through it.



I havent really gotten the chance to look in person.. but it might fit between the FMIC and the radiator




Again this is just an idea.. might or might not aid in cooling

i think it's a waste of money, not unless you're driving like 5 mph on your whole trip... i think it'll be better if you mount it somewhere by the turbo (to keep it cool) or to the intake( to get more air)... MY OPINION... correct me if im wrong... peace...

If you're so worried about IC temps, get a CryO2 Intercooler sprayer.

Cry02 is nice but i just dont like the fact of having a bottle in the car

If you're sitting in traffic there should be no need for cooling, you're not boosting. When you start moving at significant speeds again the intercooler will do what it does best... cool.

^ Totally agree, there doesn't seem to be any advantage in doing this.
