I plan on doing a intercooler install this weekend. Ima probally have to cut the crash bar. does anyone have any good pics of their install?

 

i dont have any pics; but what i did was cut into the back of the crashbar. i cut 2 1x1 inch squares where the threads go so i could put bolts through it.
or do you have brackets?

 

Depends on the intercooler size.... I didnt cut my bar... I fabricated a hanger ( just bent metal at 90 degrees) and hung it from the radiator support... IC hangs right where I removed the lower grill ;-).....

the intercooler is not that big. Its like 28-(7-9)-2.5. It came with two mounts on each side and bolts that fit. It also came with strait brakets but the bolts cant fit through so ima have to drill.

ok the bumper is off but I cant cut the dang crash bar. Ive broken jig saw pieces and chiped a hacksaw so far. what should I do?

you mean like with an air compressor? I dont have one, and all the shops I called cant do it.

Here's mine but it's a small greddy, not sure the size off the top of my head. Crash bar still there.
