A bi-metal drill bit will work fine.

Paul is correct about the tool but the inter-cooler can be mounted three ways. Depending on how your mounting brackets are setup the inter-cooler can be installed

- in front of the crash bar
-behind the crash bar
-or cut the crash bar and install it that way (Don't recommend cutting the crash bar but that's the owners decision).

If your hand and line of sight is straight enough you can free-hand the inter-cooler install just mock-up the inter-cooler. First mark the holes with drill bits make sure the inter-cooler is centered and drill holes. The rest is self-explanetary.

Hope this helps out.
