just a few questions
names omar, i drive an 06 spec
not really looking for a "SHOW ME how to do this"(we get this alot on the spec forums and its annoying LOL) more looking for some clarification on something im unsure of
not new to the turbo world, but i am new to the scion world, so just a few questions as im trying to piece together a kit for a friend of mine, and i just need some clarification on thingsa im not too sure of
im pretty sure your cars prefer high impedence injectors , am i right?
also has anyone ever tried srt-4, wrx, or jdm sti top feed sti injectors, srt4 flow at like 550, wrx are 440 cc's, and jdm sti top feeds are approx 565's
TUNING
in the spec v world he have an issue known as tune drift, where say you tune the afr's with an apexi SAFC, over a few months the ecu will readjust and override the changes done n the SAFC, do you guys have a similiar issue?
possible reflashes available for your cars?
i do have a greddy emanage blue which we might use on his car aswell, anything important i should know that is scion specific, would be awesome!
im sure more questions will arise, ill shoot em your guys way
much appreciated

yeesh, sounds like the same thing with the spec's yet luckily someone finally came out with a reflash fr 900 bucks
damn, this is gonna be a damn headache isnt it
i was reading the ecu and fuel manage ment thread, and yeah im seeing the same damn problems that were previously had in specs
deutschwerks makes PnP aftermarket injectors for the tC, most people go with 550's if staying under 8-9psi on a fairly medium/small sized turbo. Really just depends on your power goal for how much fuel you will need.
Pretty sure after 550's you need to add a pump. Our stock one starts to tap out around there.
Any piggyback you have the problem of the ecu getting in the way, but you will have better luck with the emanage over a safc, boomslang also makes a PnP harness for the emange and our tC.

The tC uses tall skinny design injector and when I compared them to the injectors I had for my DSM the tC injector was slightly taller and the nozzle was slightly thinner. So if those injectors from a another manufacturer were to be used, Im sure youd have to to locate a different fuel rail bushing, and upper and lower injector seals. As for tuning, if you are looking for a tune to stick on piggy back setup, the best bet is the AEM FIC (also has partial throttle outputs for the tC), Greddy Ultimate is by far one of the most versitile piggybacks (Im sure ure already aware) and will do well with the addition of Dezod's black box. I prefer the Ultimate as it is able to change the rev limiter, remove speed limiter and fuel cut, and has a programmable two step ignition sequence as long as the car is not in motion. The one good thing from the FIC is that it is able to tune partial throttle outputs and will stick better then any of the other piggy backs. If it had many of the same features of the ultimate it would be FIC all day (plus its about half the size of the ultimate if not smaller if that is a concern for you).
