Default Kaminari hood + turbo = bad?

ok so my question isnt about the clearance cuz my kit will fit just fine theres just a few other things first off i kno the scoop thing will allow water to go straight down basically hitting the turbo cus the water will flow right between the radiator and trubo but probably hit the turbo .. obviously this isnt a good thing.. so is there anything to do to block the water that can be added to the hood? also i heard that the paint might get to hot or something on aftermarket hoods and start melting? is this true?

rythmnsmoke has CF hood with his turbo and as far as i know he has no problems..

as far as rain.. if they dont offer a rain guard you can easily make it yourself.. also i have seen i believe VIS hood or something like that that comes with rain guard already , its just a cover that you clip under the opening i think very easy to make yourself.

you can always route the water using a piece of sheet metal or even make a cover!

Your hood should not melt... you would have a problem if it did start to melt if you have a fiberglass one... first being that all your hoses would melt

He also asked if the hood will melt... please re-read the original post.

SoFlo - water won't be too bad - lots of cars have vents and water gets on everything - just keep your bay clean and if you really want, make a cover.

I have the kaminari hood with a S/C and the water falls right on my header but nothing has happened to it. Although I have noticed the clear coat on my paint job is gone ( it might be the sorry dealership paint job though)

the only problem with the kaminari hood is that the exhaust manifold for turbo toyotas has clearance issues. that is about it.
