Well I had a good run at the track! :D

Friggin mustangs kept breaking down and they idiots wouldn't stop right away and messed up the track so I only had time for 1 run... but what a run!

14.044 @ 97MPH! Woo!


Car weighed 3100 Pounds with me in it... so about 2900 pounds total (I'm ~185 + some other stuff in the car that I had - camera, jacket, drinks, etc).

Here's the best part... I videoed it too!

what kind of tires were you running? and from the vid it sounded like the tranny slipped a bit going from 2nd to 3rd?

Yeah my tranny's starting to slip like that... I need a tranny flush again (i'm over 52K miles) and switch to royal purple synthetic ATF.

 

awesome we can fit 15"?! guess i'll go with those instead of the 16" steelies i was about to buy.

 

for comparison sake, do you have any 1/4 mile times for your tc 05-rs1?

 

Yeah 15"s will fit. I got 2 VW BBS 5x100 wheels with the BFG Drags.

 

i was wondering why it didnt chirp into 2nd or 3rd... then i reread the title. lol. nice times btw.

 

i havent been to the track with my current setup, only whenever i was still running my 9.5lb pulley. ran on my RS1 rims and general exclaim UHP street tires, best was a 14.8.

 

not bad...i like the reaction times of the other car though...what car was that if you remember?

Yeah my reaction time sucked. My first time back at the track since last year so I kinda slept at the line... heh. That was a wicked burn out too... I wish I coulda videoed how much smoke i was putting out the back! You could see it creeping up on me at the end of the burnout and when I staged up at the line.

Yes - that was a GTO next to me. 400HP LS2? And he only ran .5 seconds faster? lol.

On 18" street tires? I don't want to know.... I'd spin through first and 2nd even if I didn't launch.... I'd say mid to high 14's.

krd did u get ur car tuned right after install or did u throw a basemap on at first then get tuned?

 

I got it tuned pretty much right after install.

 

damn cuz i got the auto to and im throwing a basemap on the AEM with 550cc's i wonder if its gonna be safe to drive around a lil.. install sunday.. tune appt is on tuesday. what do u think. Its dezods basemap.

 

You should be fine. Base maps will run you rich so that you don't lean out and blow something up
