little help with afr plz
Well I just installed my TT simple kit when it idles its like 11.3-12s on my aem afr gauge im on the aem fic with the map from crush. Can anyone help and tell me the right idle i think it was like 14.6 but it seems mines way off or if you have a map that might help me out its a 2008 scion tC m/t with the tial 38mm wg ( 7.25psi) spring thanks guys

You can could go to ur "F" map and substract gas on that specific block on idle and ur AFR's will go up eventually. Problem with that is that if idle is rich like that, the whole map probably is too and on top of that u will need to adjust the blocks around the one u adjust. Do you have an ScangaugeII? That's the only way u can tell if ur fuel trims are good to go. The one on my FIC doesn't give me the right fuel trims ever since I upgraded my 550 cc injectors for 700cc's for some odd reason. Maybe someone could chime in and give me some insight

afr's will settle down after a few miles of driveing. If idle afr's do not lean out (im 100% sure that they will) you can subtract fuel from the fuel map. normal driving speeds also at first will be up and down, but after a few miles of driving youll see them settle down a bit to around 14.7 (same goes for idle). it will not be a perfect 14.7 but will hover very close to it.
now keep in mind this is just a base map so its not perfect, in boost it should run fairly rich and if it doesnt then something is wrong.
a pro tune is the way to go, i have only given maps out to get you on the road and to a tuner. That is their main function. Good luck and happy boosting.

not trying to come off as a butt, but if you dont know what your talking about dont post it! Now you have some kid who thinks open loop is cruising and he can tune himself!

Carlos has been tuning himself for quit sometime now and has had alot of success with the FIC.
also he mentioned to use the scanegauge to find your fuel trims. fuel trims will show how off your fuel map is with your 02 map.

bro. hit up elevation. his map he sent me worked perfect for my TT simple kit... perfect idle. perfect cruise. perfect WOT ( don't reccomend WOT untill tuned) but his was good for mine 50$ is worth knowing ur car will be safe untill tuned

Yes well the shop I'm going to has their "laptop out for updates" for there mustang dyno so now I have to w8 a week but I really want to use this shop the guys a really good guy and he"s tuned 2 turbo tCs so now I'm trying to get a hold if mike for his map I sent him a pm. Car has been sitting it's only idled twice only thing is todds spipe just does not line up good only a little leak n the hot side ic pipe did not reach to well but o well I got more from TT than most people I just got robbed for a turbo, injectors, dumptube, PnP harness.

depending on were your 02sensor location that can throw your wideband readings off (will look lean when your really ok or rich). also you said you had a leak on your hotside intercooler pipe, take care of that cause it will affect tune and drivability.

That map works for sure.. its worked flawless on two turbo toyota kits.
idle will be at 14.7
cruise will be between 14.5 and 14.9
wot will be around 11.5-11.7
may be a little diff because of were you live.. So i took some timing out.. remember this is a basemap.. use it as one.. do not go racing on it.. enjoy the car. and get it pro tuned! this map should save you alot of money when u pro tune as it will be very close!

well i took it for a test drive that was scary i really think my gauge is off or somthing its now at idle around 16-17 so i shut it down but a normal driving it would kinda stay around 14-15 idk, idk if my exhaust leak has anything to do with that also the aem afr gauge is set to default any imput will help thanks
