Default MAF after the BOV?

Just wanting to hear some first hand experience from someone who has there MAF after their BOV. How much did it improve your boost shifting? Did it help prevent back firing?

I've seen pics floating around here of setup with that so let me know if you thought it was worth the extra fabbing.

I have my MAF in the stock loaction and i havent had any problems. The car goes rich when shifting but only for a sec. no back firing.

thats what mine does but if I wind it out for a moment and let off the gas while still rolling, the car go way rich and hesitates for a second. My friend has his post BOV on an eclipse and love it, that why I ask.

This is called a "blow-through" MAF setup. Some mafs don't have a problem, while others have had problems since you would get some turbulent air when the blade on the throttle shuts and the air travels backwards. It really depends on the unit, and how finicky it is.

no problems other than BOV flutter from the throttle body, sounds good though. And running ultra lean when letting off throttle while still in gear, ECU cuts off the fuel.

You're referring to DFCO, not anything at all to do with BOV placement and MAF.

didn't say it was related, just stating i dont like it and consider it a problem that a standalone would fix, but dont feel like buying a $2000 ecu just to end up still using the stock one.

You want DFCO for better fuel economy and help in deceling. I love it on my standalone.

Why put your maf after the bov? You don't want to subject the MAF to the boost pressure... it won't last. Get a MAP sensor if you're going to tune under boost like that.
